Sharp lawyer with flair for administrative law

If you have some years of experience with administrative law, and if you want to help spread this knowledge and qualify the National Board of Health and Welfare’s work to an even greater degree, then you have the opportunity to specialize in a new administrative team.

“In this position, you get the opportunity to handle a lot of tasks independently, and you are really allowed to use your knowledge, as you are often asked for advice,” says Louise Bech Andersen, head of the management team.

Join a specialized management team
You will be the sixth lawyer in a newly created management team in the Jura unit, where we have gathered legal knowledge in administrative law and grant management. We have a supporting function in relation to the rest of the house and work from the approach that the National Board of Health and Welfare’s tasks and employees are always at the center of what we deliver. Therefore, we also place emphasis on providing a fast and competent service and thus support the entire organization in the best possible way.

Even though you have your own tasks and have great freedom, we also make a point of having a shared responsibility to solve the team’s tasks. Therefore, we help each other across the team and are ready to turn a case around or gain a new perspective on a task if a colleague needs it. In addition, we also contribute as a team to further develop the administration and subsidy area in the National Board of Health and Welfare.

Depending on your experience, you will either be hired as a clerk or a specialist consultant.

Participate in providing qualified advice in administrative law
Your primary task will be to find legally sound solutions in complicated cases and advise on this broadly within administrative law and grant management.

Specifically, you must, among other things:

advise on case rules and legal principles
advise on and – in some cases – prepare decisions on (act) insight in accordance with the Public Administration Act, the Public Access to Information Act and the Data Protection Regulation
prepare notes and procedures
answer hearings
identify areas where there is a need for administrative law advice, procedures, etc.
The tasks will vary according to the demand from the organization, and there is therefore plenty of opportunity for variety.

In addition to the ongoing advice, the Administrative Law also handles major individual tasks. Within the past year, we have, for example, drawn up a whistleblower scheme and been the leader in the incorporation of inter-ministerial rules in the area of subsidies.

Administrative law plays an important role both for individuals, but also for the entire National Board of Health and Welfare, as we, together with the rest of Jura, help to ensure the legal basis for a number of the agency’s tasks.

Lawyer who can advise with high quality
It is important that you manage to balance your thoroughness with sharp deadlines. We often work with short deadlines, and you should therefore feel good about moving quickly when the task requires it.

Other than that:

are you a cand.jur. with some years of experience from a public authority
do you want to specialize further in the area of management and grants
you can find legal solutions across multiple sets of rules
you can convey law easily understandable both in writing and orally and provide legal advice to other professional groups.
Law – an experienced entity that is passionate about disseminating legal knowledge
Jura is a well-functioning and experienced unit under Jura and HR. In addition to the management team, we have two other teams working with resp. data protection as well as tenders and contracts. In total, we are 12 lawyers, including our manager and office manager, as well as a student assistant.

We go to work happy and place great emphasis on being a good place to work. As one of our colleagues states:

“We generally have an atmosphere that is just really good. I find that we prioritize the community, give high weight to professional sparring, and then we are passionate about providing high-quality legal advice. Fortunately, we are no more serious than that there is also room for a good laugh every day. ”

Central location and great flexibility
The National Board of Health and Welfare is a commuter-friendly workplace with many employees from both Zealand and Jutland and is less than a 10-minute walk from Odense Railway Station.

We prioritize being a family-friendly and flexible workplace. Regardless of whether you live locally or further afield, there will therefore be the option of home work days by appointment.
