Chef is wanted for Gyrstinge Skovkro near Ringsted

Gyrstinge Skovkro is looking for a head chef.

We are not old-fashioned traditional inn, which is open every day. We live primarily on companies. In addition, we have our own Friday events, excursions, food out of the house, courses. On Thursday we have a big draw, which is our fried pork. As well as every Sunday, where we serve a large Sunday buffet for lunch.

Therefore, you get a workplace where there are many different tasks.

We are a small workplace with a flat management structure. And we take pride in having a good working environment.

You will be part of a team with a cooking team of 4-5 employees, 2 full-time servants and many wonderful part-time employees.

We are looking for a kitchen manager who can keep an overview of the kitchen, purchase of goods and a sense of good business acumen, plan company menus in consultation with other staff. You must be able to learn from you to our students.

We cook from scratch and serve Danish / Nordic inspired food with room for unfolding our own ideas.

We will look positively at management experience, but are also interested in if you are a skilled chef with ambitions for management responsibilities.

Your primary tasks will consist of:

Purchasing and planning menus for parties, food out of the house, event events.
Ensure high quality, good taste and good food.
Personnel management and production optimization.
Self-control.

You must ensure a stable and solid operation with an eye for optimizing the kitchen, but also be prepared for new initiatives.

It is expected that you will take the lead and actively participate in the workflow in the kitchen.

You should be able to see your personality in the following points:

High service gene and passion for food.
Adhere to agreements and deadlines.
Have lots of good energy.
Be able to receive and give constructive criticism.
Maintain the good mood.
Is a loyal and stable colleague.

This is a full-time position.

Working hours are 37 hours per week on weekends and weekdays. You will be part of a shift plan on a par with the kitchen.
