Do you want to be part of Denmark’s only steel rolling mill that produces steel plates; a mastodon in the heavy industry? – and can you see yourself in an international environment? If you have the environment at the top of the agenda, and you are the one who can take the lead in working with the environment in a large industrial company, then you may be our new environmental manager.

About the job

Our current environmental manager has chosen to retire, so we are now looking for an experienced and responsible employee who can make a difference in relation to the environmental work at the company.

We offer an exciting and challenging job at one of Europe’s most modern plate rolling mills, a forward-thinking company that has many new projects in the pipeline, and where the environment, climate, safety and working environment are in focus.

Your main tasks are:

Carrying out the daily environmental work.
Responsible for operation and maintenance of environmental management system (ISO14001).
Carrying out energy tasks in collaboration with the energy manager, including energy management tasks (ISO50001) and CO2 quota register.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, approval conditions and other requirements, including ensuring the implementation of measurements and assessments within wastewater, soil, waste, air and noise.
Administration of chemical substances and materials.
Authority application for new projects.
Advice and information for management and other employees.
Teaching and training.
About you and your strong foundation

You have some years of experience from a similar position, e.g. from a major production company and you have a theoretical education in the field of the environment. You have experience in communication and collaboration with authorities, employees and the local area.

You have worked with environmental management and are passionate about, in collaboration with management and employees, helping to make the company appear as an environmentally responsible production company.

You master Danish and English at negotiation level, and you are good at familiarizing yourself with technical systems and IT. In addition, it is important that you are outgoing, service-minded and good at collaborating, as you will have a large interface both internally and externally.

We emphasize that you work independently and take responsibility for initiated activities. You have a structured form of work that ensures an overview and quality in a busy and exciting everyday life.

Our team

You will be part of an experienced team in our technical department and you will report directly to the Technical Manager.

We appreciate an informal tone and a good togetherness in a workplace where everyone invites in and takes an extra turn when needed.

On the other hand, we benefit from good salary and employment conditions, just as a thorough introduction, on-the-job training and continuing education are of course part of the package, which also includes other attractive employee benefits.

How to apply

If you are interested, please send your application and your CV via the “Send application” button before 19 June 2022. Applications are only received through our recruitment system.

If you want to know more about the position, you can contact Technical Manager Allan T. Thomasen on mobile 2323 1366 or Head of HR Torben W. Skaaning on mobile 2048 6798. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
